Emmys 24 Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Cheryl Shuman Strategic Alliance Vlog

The TMW Media Group of Companies (First Light Video, Bennett Media and TMW Media) ® Announces Global Marketing Alliance With Cheryl Shuman and TheInCrowdVlog.com®

One of the first marketing campaigns announced through the new alliance is “Journeys Below the Line”. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation, in association with First Light Video Publishing and Gallant Entertainment, has produced the first installment of Journeys Below the Line, a series of DVDs for media students that provide insight into the inner workings of the craft and technical jobs essential to television production, it was announced today by Steve Mosko, Chairman of the Television Academy's Foundation. “24 - The Editing Process” is the first DVD of the series and that both looks at careers in editing and script supervision and features the cast and production team behind Fox's hit series "24."

Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) -- TMW Media Group and First Light Video today announces a global marketing alliance with Cheryl Shuman Celebrity and Media Placement Network and The In Crowd Vlog in Beverly Hills. The respective firms will match corporate sponsors with a star powered roster of upcoming educational DVD and television programming.

The alliance gives corporations a first-look deal for product placement, sponsorship and promotions. “TMW Media Group represents a newly discovered treasure from a marketing and sponsorship standpoint. Corporations are eager to engage with young people who are unreachable through traditional methods. By merging technology’s latest craze of “vlogging” we connect our reach of over 33 million worldwide in a social responsibility sponsorship campaign with our many celebrity connections. Hollywood has a kind heart when it deals with children, learning and giving back to the community. This is a great way for them to get involved. ” states Cheryl Shuman, C.E.O. of TheInCrowdVlog.com. The “Vlog” will be used to interact with young people from around the world connecting them directly to Hollywood.

"The Television Academy Foundation is thrilled to offer what we hope will become a very successful behind-the-scenes series underscoring how many great careers there are in the television industry beyond acting, writing, producing and directing,” said Mosko. "Journeys Below the Line is the brainchild of two former Television Academy governors, Bruce Bilson and Michael Gallant, and the Foundation's Educational Programs and Services Committee who combined their vision with their access to the production and post production activities of top shows, resulting in a unique resource that will both enlighten and educate students around the country."

"The stars of Journeys Below the Line are the artists and craftsmen whose talent and skills are crucial to any production. We examine their jobs and responsibilities as well as their interaction with other members of the cast and crew," said Bruce Bilson, the Emmy Award-winning TV director who also executive produced the first episode of Journeys Below the Line. "It also has the potential to give the general public insight into the work that goes into producing their favorite television shows."

“24 -The Editing Process” emphasizes the jobs contributing to the distinctive editorial look and
style of the Fox hit series "24." The DVD opens with an introduction by "24" star Kiefer Sutherland and covers such elements as the roles of the script supervisor, film editors and post production personnel in a dramatic series. Also emphasized are the importance of continuity, how an editor builds a scene, how editing relates to storytelling and the integration of video and audio.

Interwoven throughout the actual production footage on the set of “24” and in the series edit bays are excerpts from a panel discussion of professionals directly involved with editing and script supervision. There are comments from “24” script supervisor Anne Melville, and editors Scott Powell and Chris Willingham, along with cast and crew interviews including director Jon Cassar, actors Sutherland, Elisha Cuthbert, Carlos Bernard, Rieko Aylesworth and Penny Johnson Jerald. The DVD runs thirty minutes and offers an extra forty minutes of bonus material comprising of additional interviews, behind the scenes footage, and a comprehensive teachers guide on CDROM that gives even more insight into the making of the television program.

Featuring primetime series and the people who create them, Journeys Below the Line is designed to give students a greater understanding of the variety of careers in television production and post production. Each program in the series will incorporate exciting on-set production footage, insightful interviews with cast and crew, as well as spirited give and take with
media arts students.

“We’re very pleased to be working with the Television Academy Foundation to offer a much needed series focused on an often hidden part of how TV is made,” said First Light’s CEO Michael Bennett. “We pride ourselves on offering the very best in instructional material. “24 The Editing Process” also has appeal for anybody interested in how hit TV is made and we’re looking forward to the success of this and subsequent Journeys Below the Line programs for both academic and consumer markets.”

Along with Bilson, other Television Academy governors and members who lent their expertise to the creation of Journeys Below the Line include Bilson’s producing partner Michael Gallant (The Junction Boys, First Daughter, Attica, Inside the Third Reich, The Day After and War and Remembrance); Lynne Gross, Associate Producer and Professor at California State University Fullerton; Steve Fisch, Legal Advisor; Ray Colcord, Composer and past President of the Society of Composers and Lyricists; Christopher Gallo, Director of Photography; and Judd Maslansky, Editor.

Overview TMW Media Group – Founded in 1989, is one of the largest distributor of educational videos and DVD's featuring over 1200 quality, multi-dimensional programming. Its founder, Michael Bennett, has been in the video business for the last twenty years as one of the industry's pioneers. Education has always been his interest and by creating TMW Media Group he was able to share his desire to bring quality educational material to the world at large with his love for the filmed medium.

Discovering videos on sale to educators at $80-$300 Michael saw an opportunity to join value to quality by offering educational videos at prices far lower than was then customary. It began with the 24 volume “Tell Me Why” Children’s Video Encyclopedia Series (based on author Arkady Leokum’s worldwide syndicated newspaper feature) being released to educators with a Teachers' Guide for only $19.95 and very quickly became one of the best-selling educational video series.

The curriculum programs include videos and DVD's for kindergarten through high school, child development, guidance, science, literature, math, social issues, art, sports, geography, history, music and sports. TMW continues to be in the forefront of bringing affordable programming to education and has just released its first TV series of reality programming called “Real Life Teens”

First Light Video is a division of the TMW Media Conglomerate. First Light Media Publishing offers the most complete collection of instructional and documentary style DVDs, VHS, and CDs for educators, students and professionals in the media arts. First Light produces and distributes programs that teach acting, radio production, lighting, scriptwriting, digital and multimedia arts and more. I have tons of video that I'll be posting shortly. Today, someone told me how "afraid" they were of me. I had to laugh. I'm one of the biggest softies in the world... to my own detriment... just ask my friend Gary....

Gary Messages me:

You know, I have to giggle inside when I see and hear people make fun of me for driving a Honda CRV these days instead of my former cars, the Porsche 996 Cabriolet, the Mercedes 600 sl Convertible, the BMW 328i Convertible, the Ferrari 365 Spyder etc. Many people are so judgmental in this town based on material possessions. This past year I liquidated almost everything I owned to help people in my home town to escape lives of poverty.

So, anyway, my point to this story, is people don't realize that I'm usually being driven around in a limo with my private driver. The CRV I drive by choice, not because I couldn't have the Porsches, Mercedes etc. if I want them. Once you start flying in private jets and having your own limo driver, it's really kind of difficult to go "Back"

In this clip, it's a typical day at the office picking me up at the corporate condo in Sherman Oaks to the Beverly Hills Offices just one block off of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Our driver on this day was George and I was meeting with Goldman Sacs Money Management Team.

Click on the Image Above for a video clip I call:

A Day in the Life of the Limo with some of my staff :-)

xoxo,
Cheryl
